Bpo Call Center Consulting
The challenge in the e-business to direct, is knowing where to look for new business. You need a source of new potential customers that is reliable and affordable. A source that will give you the details you need to send a direct mail package to prospective customers who need want and can afford what you offer.
At a minimum, any source name should provide the following for each lead:
First Name, Last Name
Job title
Company Name
Address (sometimes on two lines)
City
Province or State
Zip code or postal code
Other details that are pleasing to know:
SIC Code (Standard Industrial Classification)
Industry by name
Company Size (number of employees or volume sales)
Phone Number
Business type (manufacturing, services, advice)
depending on the job (engineer, owner, purchasing, management)
purchasing power
Budget
(Geographic Region international, country, state)
Where to find names of potential customers:
Associations
It is an Association of Legal Administrators. There is an association for social workers who specialize in helping people with cancer (Association of Oncology Social Work). There association for manufacturers of fasteners in the Midwest of the United States (The Mid-West Fastener Association).
If your audience is a niche market, the first place to look for potential clients are business associations. These associations (local, regional, national, international) often rent lists of names their members.
Trade publications
Most industries have a trade magazine. You know, of course, with Frozen Food Age, Industrial Hygiene News, Eyecare Business and Waste News. These trade publications and most others also rent names their subscribers.
Trade directories
You can read the phone book. Or you can look in Directory organic export, a compilation of contact names for companies that export organic food products. The closer the ground, the more likely it is to have its own directory of businesses in the industry. Some of these directories are in the press, and some are online.
Exhibitions and conferences
Another excellent source of names are the industry events. These are generally Hosted by trade publications and associations, but independent events also exist. Event organizers rent or sell the names of attendees and exhibitors.
List brokers
List brokers are specialists who help business to use the list of another company. Their services include research, selection and recommendation lists. A list broker, for example, research your name to the lists that match your unique criteria. There is a Home / Travel Professionals list. Firefighters Bookstore and a list (people who bought Firefighters Bookstore). And Federal Student Aid Schools list (28,994 schools funded by the federal government that offer their assistance to their participants).
list of the House
Your best source of new business is your database of customers current and lapsed, otherwise known as your house list. Getting a client's business today is still cheaper than doing business with a new client.
Government
For some products and services, another excellent source of potential clients is the government. I have a certain number of customers who buy mailing lists from their state governments and use them to mail offers to businesses that are in their target audience. A client buys the names of dentists and dental hygienists whose licenses are about to expire, and mails those prospects mailing that promotes customer continuing education courses (which prospects need to take and move to renew their license). Another client buys the names of garages in the state that perform vehicles of state for safety inspections. He mails the marketing pieces that promote its software product, designed specifically for these inspection stations.
Keep in mind that the most important part of a business-to-business direct mail campaign generation Lead is on the list. You can have a great product, a fantastic offer and the best time, but if you send the wrong person, well, you know what happens. So, make sure the best possible list.
