Call Center Brokers

What job do I qualify for?

I have 2 yrs of collections, 5 yrs of cutomer serv exp. I have consolidated student loans, did retail work, call center…etc. I know PowerPoint, Micro Word and Office. I know how to read credit bureau reports and have good decision making skills. I am also very articulate and think fast. I type arnd 55 wpm. I am still working on my bachelors and i have been in school for over 3 yrs. My goal is to be a stock broker, but I would rather wait until I finish my education first. Also my major is business finance w/ a minor in ethnic studies.

I am at the point where I feel like it is time for a new job.I have been working in collections for 2 yrs now and i am burned out. My position is stressful. I bring in over 100 k by myself per month for the comp. I am worried I may not be qualified enough anywhere else to get paid what I am being paid now. Also I would like to do something diff. I def. don’t want to do collections or customer serv, what could I possibly do ?

Mortgage broker immediately comes to mind. Instead of dealing with people who can’t pay their bills (which I imagine is very stressful), you would be dealing with people at an exciting point in their lives, buying or refinancing a house.

After you get your bachelor’s, you could look into taking the Certified Financial Advisor (CFA) exam. It’s a good career with a promising future and great pay.

Good luck!
