Outsourcing jobs abroad can save companies a lot money. They do not have to pay higher wages than the American request, they did not have to deal with American unions, and people in poor countries are truly grateful for what they are paid rather than growl as Americans do. By reducing costs, the profitability of your company increases. Part of the profit goes to investors and business leaders, but much of it goes back into society and is reinvested to enable the company to expand its operations and seeking new methods and new technologies. Of course, it also has a downside for Americans who lose their jobs. There is no doubt that it will be difficult for them, since the jobs of their skill sets are transferred outside the country. This is called structural unemployment, and is the worst form of unemployment from a macroeconomic perspective. Outsourcing creates what our economy and reduce unemployment. However, it is also an opportunity. Those who lose their jobs to outsourcing can be trained for jobs in our economy desperately needs. It will not be easy and it will not be cheap (which is why I think the government should help to recycle most of these workers), but in the long term it will be best for the U.S. economy, as we the move towards a flexible and adaptable service-oriented economy more. You should note that I am currently a student at the University to be an economist. Although it gives me an idea on the matter, since I spend my time studying things like outsourcing, it also prejudiced against me What's better for the economy as a whole, and to the perspective of education.
