The causes are not only the general recession and the collapse of the housing market, but bad decisions by government and business deserve to point fingers. Since 2000, the U.S. has lost millions of jobs due to outsourcing and insourcing. Those are euphemisms to export high-paying jobs to low-wage countries abroad while importing an underclass uncultivated willing to work for lower wages than the United States without benefits. The United States welcomed China into the World Trade in 2001 knowing that the free trade agreements with China would be unfair to America, and that even the term "free trade" as applied in China, is a fraud. China uses virtual slaves workers paid less than a dollar an hour, without benefits, sends us lead encrusted toys and poisonous food and drugs, and keeps its currency artificially cheap to unfairly benefit its exports.
