I a beginning programmer, I have a strong feeling that I like programming, i love watching videos of programming! When I have my own project Personal web site, I put the plan and design the database. Once I design my database, i seriously find myself not in the coding! I begin to believe in outsourcing and management of web project. Perhaps your best to DBA or sysadmin if land development is more interesting for you than coding. I know that's how it was for me.
